WhatsApp Communication Policy

How we use WhatsApp to stay in touch with you, and how your information is handled.

Welcome to Our WhatsApp Communication

We use WhatsApp groups and messages to share service times, event reminders, prayer requests, and important updates with our community. Joining is always your choice. Everyone is welcome whether or not you use WhatsApp, and you will never be left out of church life if you prefer another way of staying in touch. Your information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

You can leave a WhatsApp group or stop receiving messages at any time, either by leaving the group yourself or by letting the church office know. If you prefer email, phone calls, or in-person updates, tell us and we will use the way that works best for you. We welcome members in English and in Spanish.

WhatsApp Communication Policy

We are committed to respecting the privacy and dignity of everyone who joins our WhatsApp communities. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Collection

What information do we collect?

We collect the phone number you give us, your name, and any communication preferences you choose to share, such as your preferred language.

Usage

How do we use your information?

We use this information only to add you to the groups you ask to join and to send church updates, event reminders, and pastoral care messages.

Sharing

Will your information be shared?

We do not sell or share your information for marketing. Members of a WhatsApp group can see the phone numbers of the other members of that group, so you are only added to a group with your consent.

Security

Will your information be secure?

WhatsApp protects messages with end-to-end encryption. Church staff and volunteers who manage groups keep member contact details private and use them only for church communication. Please do not share other members’ details outside the group.
